Job Summary
Investment Consultant at OneDigital in Bethesda (Hybrid) focuses on retirement plan investment analysis and recommendations. You will conduct in-depth evaluation of retirement plan options, analyze asset allocation, performance, and fees, provide advanced investment expertise to Sales and Service teams, monitor client portfolios, identify emerging investment trends, and develop data-driven recommendations for plan sponsors. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, collaboration with internal teams, and ability to adapt to a changing business/tech environment. Travel up to 25% is expected. A bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant retirement-plan experience is preferred, along with a securities license or plan to obtain licensure within 90 days. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM (Salesforce preferred) is expected, as is the ability to translate complex investment data into clear insights and engaging presentations for clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred), or relevant experience in retirement plan service
- Must possess a valid relevant securities license or demonstrate a strong likelihood of successfully obtaining the necessary licensure within 90 days of hire
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex investment data into clear and actionable insights for plan sponsors
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively present investment recommendations and industry trends
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated discipline maintaining client information in a CRM, Salesforce preferred
- Proven success with multi-tasking and managing priorities effectively
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technology environment
- Continual learner mentality, able to adopt new solutions and interpret the impact of new laws for prospective clients
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive client information, including personnel and financial data
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Business travel up to 25%
