Job Summary
Senior banking professional sought to lead Equity Capital Markets for the TMT team in San Francisco. As Vice President/Senior Associate, you will act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact on deals, coordinate and refine the analytic work of junior bankers, oversee the creation of financial projection models, and manage the marketing/execution materials for high-profile transactions. You will liaise with lawyers, accountants, and counterparties, identify and manage all risks in deals, lead client negotiations and Q&A processes, and supervise the overall execution across mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity/debt capital raises. Strong client-facing communication, quantitative/analytical capabilities, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role.
- Experience in training junior bankers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work)
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
- Adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
- Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
- Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment
