Job Summary
Analyst Engineer in Investment Banking's Technical Transaction Team focused on oil & gas assets across North America. You will perform technical analyses and resource/valuation assessments, build economic models (production forecasting, type curves, LOS analysis), support senior engineers in constructing and maintaining modeling software (e.g., ARIES, PHDwin), conduct market research using industry platforms, and assist with marketing materials and data room presentations. Travel may be involved. Requires petroleum engineering degree and 2-4 years in A&D evaluations, proficiency with Spotfire, and familiarity with QGIS/ArcGIS; experience with ARIES/Combo Curve is essential; lower 48 unconventional reservoir evaluation experience is preferred. Capable of collaborating with geologists and engineers to support asset reviews and exits, and to contribute to marketing and mandate execution.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of Petroleum Engineering experience conducting A&D evaluations
- Lower 48 un-conventional reservoir evaluation experience preferred
- Petroleum Engineering undergraduate degree required
- ARIES & Combo Curve experience required
- Spotfire experience required
- working understanding of QGIS and ArcGIS welcomed
- Experience with fundamental reservoir engineering analysis such as decline curve analysis and type curves
- Ability to develop marketing materials and execute mandates
- Experience preparing data room presentations and managing virtual data rooms
- Strong team-player attitude and collaboration with engineers and geologists
