Job Summary
Analyst Engineer supports the full cycle of transactional execution in oil & gas asset evaluations, performing technical analysis, economic modelling, and market research for North America assets; assists senior bankers and engineers with data room preparation, marketing materials, and asset reviews (PDP forecasting, type curves, LOS, inventory assessments); leverages ARIES, PHDwin, Spotfire, ComboCurve, ArcGIS, and QGIS; travel may be involved; ideal candidate has 2-4 years petroleum engineering experience, a petroleum engineering bachelor’s degree, and strong understanding of field economics.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of Petroleum Engineering experience conducting A&D evaluations
- Lower 48 un-conventional reservoir evaluation experience is preferred
- Petroleum Engineering undergraduate degree is required
- Deep level of economic understanding of development field economics: ARIES & Combo Curve experience required
- Spotfire experience required, working understanding of QGIS and ArcGis welcomed
- Experience with fundamental reservoir engineering analysis such as decline curve analysis, type curve creation and competitor analysis
- ARIES & Combo Curve experience required
- Support senior engineers & geologists in asset reviews (e.g. PDP forecasting, inventory assessment, type curves, LOS evaluations, geologic assessments)
- Working knowledge of sub-surface geologic characteristics and showcase the ability to perform geologic assessments alongside the A&D team’s geologists
- Assist with the development of marketing materials and execution of mandates
- Assist with the preparation of data room presentations and exhibit the ability to manage virtual data rooms
- Consistently be a team player and can work alongside motivated colleagues that express a willingness to be successful and are driven to win
