Job Summary
As a Vice President in JPMorgan's Strategic Investor Group (SIG) M&A, you will act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals, review and coordinate analytic work of junior bankers to move marketing/execution forward, refine materials for maximum client impact, oversee the creation of financial projection models, identify and manage risks, liaise with lawyers, accountants and counterparties, and lead client negotiations and Q&A with management interviews. You will collaborate with internal and external parties to execute transactions including sponsor-backed leveraged buyouts, divestitures, spin-offs, activist-driven deals and minority investments, and advise corporate and financial institution clients across public and private transactions. You will apply strong written/verbal communication, quantitative/analytic skills, and the ability to work under pressure to deliver insightful advice and execution for financing and strategic outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role
- Experience in training junior bankers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate with clients and teams
- Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks in large investment banks
