Job Summary
Vice President in Investment Banking – Power & Renewables M&A leads as the primary client point of contact and banker on deals, coordinates junior bankers’ analytic work, refines client-focused materials, oversees financial projection models, and leads client negotiations. Must manage risks in deals, liaise with lawyers/accountants/counterparties, and drive execution through the marketing and due diligence process. Requires a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting/Business or related discipline, front-office IB experience in power & renewables, ability to train junior bankers, strong written/verbal communication, advanced Excel modeling/valuation skills, ability to work under pressure, independent project management, and mature client interactions with understanding of financial, legal, and reputational risks in large banks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role covering power & renewables sectors
- Experience in training junior bankers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills (Excel modeling and valuation)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions
- Adaptability and ability to manage projects independently
- Professional and mature client interaction skills
- Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks
