Job Summary
Analyst in the Strategic Investors Group M&A team will execute and support transactions through due diligence, document preparation, and negotiation, liaise with clients and advisers, and lead quantitative analyses and modeling (including valuation—DCF, LBO, 3-statement models). Responsibilities include building complex financial models, performing ad hoc analyses, drafting presentation materials for M&A and capital markets transactions, and staying informed on market developments to understand target client dynamics. Collaboration with product and sector teams, and effective communication with senior professionals and stakeholders are emphasized, along with independent, proactive work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office, or related, role
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
- Self-starter with a desire to understand both the big picture and the details
- Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
- Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive with ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with different deal teams
