Investment Banking - M&A Mid-Cap – Vice President

Job Summary
As Vice President in M&A for the Australia business, you will lead end-to-end execution and originate sell-side mandates for mid-cap clients in Australia and New Zealand, managing live transactions and acting as primary day-to-day client contact. Responsibilities include developing targeted pitches, overseeing marketing materials and financial models (DCF, comps, LBO, merger models), coordinating due diligence and data-room activity, managing deal risks, liaising with internal and external advisors, leading client negotiations and senior presentations, and coaching junior bankers to uphold process discipline and high-quality deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years experience in an investment banking front office role
- Experience in training junior bankers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with Excel modelling and valuation work
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to interact with clients professionally
- Understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks in large investment banks
