Job Summary
Analyst in our Australia Mergers & Acquisitions team supporting mid-cap sell-side mandates; responsibilities include executing transactions, performing due diligence, preparing documents, negotiating with counterparties, liaising with clients and advisers, building and using complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises, and drafting management presentations, Board materials, memorandums, and other client-facing materials; collaborate with product and sector teams, stay abreast of market developments, and develop knowledge of target client base and market dynamics; formal training, hands-on deal exposure, and mentorship in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance and/or related field
- 1+ years prior work experience in an investment banking front office role or in a relevant role at a top tier consulting firm (financial, commercial, or operational due diligence)
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
- Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
- Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
