Job Summary
Originating fixed income securities as part of the capital raising activities undertaken by our clients (both corporate and financial institutions). Advise clients on marketing, timing and pricing of debt issuance and loan origination as well as repurchasing or restructuring debt. Coordinate with syndicate, sales and trading to price and sell the bonds; maintain direct dialogue with clients, client coverage officers, debt and equity partners. Function as an integrated team member with direct coverage responsibility and work with MDs across the group and firm. Serve as a key contributor to new business generation and leadership in deal execution and pitching.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of investment banking/capital markets or related experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Successful candidate will be able to comfortably interact with clients, coverage bankers and other product partners
- Strong analytical skills both qualitative (credit analysis) and quantitative (bond math, pricing)
- Ability to work efficiently in a high pressure environment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
