Job Summary
Conduct financial analysis and valuation assessments for oil & gas assets across North America, including production forecasting, inventory assessment, and commercial review. Build and maintain financial models and support senior bankers in constructing modeling tools. Perform market research using platforms like Enverus and Factset to analyze industry trends and competitor activity. Assist with data room presentations, mandate execution, and the development of marketing materials. Requires 2-4 years of experience in investment banking or financial analysis within the energy sector.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or financial analysis, preferably within the energy sector
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- Deep understanding of financial modeling and development field economics
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in financial evaluations of oil and gas assets across conventional and unconventional play types
- Strong understanding of commonly used financial and analytical software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Spotfire, and Factset
- Experience with fundamental financial analysis, including valuation, forecasting, and competitor analysis
- Ability to support senior bankers in asset reviews (e.g., forecasting, inventory assessment, valuation)
- Working knowledge of industry dynamics and ability to perform market and asset assessments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with oil & gas asset evaluation
- Experience with financial modeling software (e.g., ARIES, ComboCurve, Spotfire)
