Job Summary
Vice President in the EMEA FIG Insurance coverage team leads day-to-day execution on live transactions and plays a key role in client coverage and origination. Manages analysts and associates, partners with senior bankers, and collaborates with cross-border product teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, LevFin, Ratings/Credit) to deliver strategic financial advice. Responsible for origination and execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions for insurance clients (buyside, sellside, carveouts, take privates, portfolio/asset sales) including related diligence, modelling (DCF, comps, merger models, LBOs, accretion/dilution), and client materials. Coordinates workstreams with internal product partners and external advisers; supports marketing initiatives, thought leadership, and regulatory/market developments; mentors junior staff; ensures high-quality deliverables and adherence to risk/conduct requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Significant Investment Banking experience with a strong track record in Financial Institutions, ideally with meaningful exposure to the Insurance sector across products and transaction types
- Proven project leadership and process management skills; ability to run multiple cross border transactions under tight timelines and manage senior client and adviser interactions effectively
- Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities, including expert Excel modelling and valuation; proficient in building and reviewing detailed financial models and complex analyses for live transactions and strategic dialogue
- Demonstrated origination contribution (idea generation, relationship development, pitch leadership) and an ability to convert opportunities into mandates; strong communication and client engagement skills
- Proactive ownership mindset; highly organized, detail oriented and decisive; excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to quickly learn new applications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; advanced degree a plus
