Job Summary
As a Vice President on the Director Advisory Services (DAS) team, you will drive board-sourcing and placement efforts for current and retired executives, building slate of candidates for board mandates and supporting Nomination/Governance chairs and CEOs in filling roles. You will engage with JPMorgan stakeholders and external partners in technology-focused companies to expand the referral pipeline, stay ahead of trends in governance and director recruitment, and leverage your extensive network to connect executives with board opportunities, while collaborating across internal teams to identify new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include onboarding executives into DAS, curating candidate slates for RFPs (ECM-led mandates), managing relationships with senior clients and internal coverage teams, and developing external connections with the technology ecosystem. Travel within NAMR is mentioned as needed. The role requires executive-search and board-advisory experience, strong communication and relationship-building capabilities, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in executive search, board advisory, or a related field, ideally with exposure to technology companies
- Strong network within the executive and board community, especially in NAMR
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Understanding of board governance, director recruitment, and the dynamics of public and private company boards
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
