Job Summary
Investment Banking Analyst in Corporate Finance Advisory at J.P. Morgan. You will build and use complex financial models, support senior bankers in structuring solutions for transactions, develop expertise in corporate finance and structuring areas (capital structure, capital allocation, spin-offs), and draft client materials (management presentations, Board materials) for M&A and capital markets transactions. You will create thematic client content, stay informed on market developments, and collaborate with product and sector teams to contribute to the firm’s execution capabilities. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and solve problems within the transaction cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office, or related, role
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, corporate finance and business writing skills
- Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Problem solver with the desire to create new solutions and products
- Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
