Job Summary
Analyst in Investment Banking - M&A role focused on origination and execution of public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Develop bespoke M&A processes, support origination across Central & Eastern Europe, Greece, Turkey and Central Asia, drive transactions from launch to close, and develop financial analyses and valuation models. Prepare business plans, due diligence reports, and marketing materials; assist in negotiations; manage M&A processes and regional franchise; collaborate with management teams and senior stakeholders; demonstrate strong modelling (LBO, DCF, DDM) and robust communication and project management skills; capable of handling multiple transactions and working under pressure. This role involves experience with regulated activity assessments as part of fitness and propriety evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant full-time investment banking experience, particularly in M&A and Corporate Finance
- Strong interest in and understanding of M&A processes and the lifecycle of a M&A transaction
- Strong desire to achieve optimal transaction outcomes and create value for our clients
- Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients, advisors and key stakeholders in other lines of business
- Desire to work across sectors and have exposure to many different types of M&A transactions (including sell-sides, buy-sides, carve-outs, restructurings, etc.)
- Proficient technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency, including strong modelling skills (LBO, DCF, DDM) as well as knowledge of broader investment banking products
- Ability to take ownership across a transaction, with exposure to industry, country, and product teams
- Ability to show initiative and support across several transactions in parallel, managing time appropriately across competing demands
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
