Job Summary
Investment Banking Associate in Power & Utilities at TD Securities in Toronto. You'll work under the direction of a senior officer and with other experienced professionals, helping to generate ideas, advise clients and execute transactions. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing clients' financial situations, industry and market data; identifying, researching and analyzing mergers and acquisitions opportunities; developing valuation models for private and public companies as well as merged entities; assisting with client negotiations and documentation; preparing external client proposals and internal underwriting memos; preparing and contributing to the delivery of client presentations; aiding senior team members with idea generation; managing and reviewing the work of analysts; and developing internal relationships to leverage products and services provided by TD. Our Investment Banking team collaborates across capital markets, corporate finance and M&A to deliver integrated solutions across Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Current or prior experience in Investment Banking (1-3 years) and/or MBA
- Have a combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and be adept at financial modeling and valuation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to complete licensing requirements (FINRA SIE, Series 79)
