Investment Banking Associate - Capital Structure Advisory

Job Summary
Lead day-to-day project management and execution on advisory and financing transactions, including developing detailed financial and accounting analyses. Perform due diligence by generating requests, conducting company tours, and discussing questions with management. Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and company-specific information to identify client solutions, while reviewing accounting records to prepare financial projections and client presentations. Integrate strategic ideas into stakeholder presentations and contribute to deal pitches by identifying and analyzing restructuring and financing opportunities. Build client relationships through ongoing engagement and manage junior staff. Requires 3+ years of investment banking experience, SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 within 150 days, with a New York office presence of at least 4 days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Core modeling and valuation experience in a professional setting
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, accounting, consulting, private equity, hedge fund or corporate finance
- SIE Exam
- Series 79
- Series 63
- SIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment
- Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 4 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Experience at a restructuring group, workout group or leverage finance group
- Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management
- Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Effective process management abilities
