Job Summary
Investment Banking Analyst in Real Assets based in Sydney, Australia, contributes to the full cycle of transaction execution, including preparing marketing pitches, conducting financial analysis, and preparing/presenting internal and client materials. The role involves supporting associates and more senior bankers, developing analytical, modelling, research and presentation capabilities, and collaborating across JP Morgan's global platform with Australian product groups. The candidate will engage in activities across the APAC region, may involve travel, and operate within a high-performing team of over 100 Analysts and Associates. Key emphasis is on delivering rigorous financial analysis, compelling client materials, and contributing to the execution function while developing leadership and senior-officer readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years work experience in investment banking / finance related sectors
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
- Strong financial modelling skills
- A general understanding of the M&A and capital markets transaction cycle and processes involved
- Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other product groups
- Proactive, highly motivated, and committed with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively
