Job Summary
Vice President in Leveraged Finance leads as primary client banker on capital markets transactions, reviews and coordinates junior bankers' analytic work to advance marketing/execution, refines client-facing materials, oversees creation of financial projection models, identifies and manages deal risks, and liaises with lawyers, accountants, and counterparties. Requires 6+ years of front-office Leveraged Finance experience, training of junior bankers, excellent communication, strong quantitative/Excel modeling and valuation skills, ability to work under tight deadlines, adaptability, professional client interaction, and a solid understanding of financial, legal, and reputational risks in large investment banks.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Leveraged Finance (front office)
- Experience training junior bankers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to defend concepts concisely
- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modeling and valuation work)
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and synthesize large amounts of information
- Adaptability, ability to manage projects independently and take on responsibility
- Ability to interact with clients professionally
- Strong understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks
