Job Summary
Investment Advisor for SWBC Retirement Plan Services focused on delivering ongoing retirement-plan advisory services to plan sponsors (401(k), 403(b), 457, defined benefit). Responsibilities include providing superior client service and retention, preparing materials for client meetings (virtual or in-person) and recordkeeping contacts, coordinating quarterly Investment Committee activities, conducting annual due diligence and risk/fee analyses, utilizing proprietary research to advise on investment options, delivering committee and participant education, developing new business through referrals, networking, and conference participation, and ensuring compliance with SWBC, SEC, and regulatory requirements. Requires Series 65 license, 7+ years of relevant experience with retirement plans, strong fiduciary and ERISA knowledge, ability to communicate effectively, and willingness to travel; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance or related field (or equivalent retirement-plan industry experience)
- 7+ years' experience in retirement investment advisory and fiduciary support
- Strong knowledge of retirement plan structures and terminology (401(k), 403(b), 457, defined benefit)
- Understanding of fiduciary principles under ERISA Sections 3(21) and 3(38)
- Series 65 license
- Ability to build, grow, and sustain a book of retirement plan clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work independently
- Willingness to travel locally, statewide, and nationally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
