Job Summary
Analyze accounting data and prepare, review, and distribute monthly accounting packages and regulatory returns to clients within specified timeframes. Perform daily exception reviews, complete quarterly NAIC reconciliations, and respond to client information requests while ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Assist in special projects to enhance service offerings and leverage technology to improve client reporting. Maintain strong knowledge of accounting policies, GAAP, and US Statutory standards to ensure reporting compliance. Work in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple deadlines with attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and controls
- Understanding of the requirements for various accounting basis (GAAP, US Statutory, IFRS, UK GAAP, CAD GAAP, etc)
- 4-8 years related work experience
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple requests without losing sight of overall objectives and deadlines
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong initiative
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products
- Ability to identify and implement business process improvement discipline
- Technical and process improvement mindset
- BS degree in Finance or Accounting or other related degree
- Knowledge of Insurance related reporting – US Statutory, Solvency II or IFRS
