Job Summary
Team lead for Fund Accounting and Operations, mentoring team members in the preparation of workpapers and reports. Engage with clients to resolve issues, manage private and public investment activity, and oversee monthly accounting close processes. Prepare financial statements, reports, and audits. Requires strong interpersonal communications, ownership of assignments, and a detail-oriented mindset. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting workflows specific to financial services.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in public accounting or other financial services accounting role
- Thorough understanding of endowment and accounting processes and workflows
- Competency with applications and technology tools used in team processes and workflows
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
- Elevated attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and presence to communicate effectively
- Collegial team player possessing intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and thoughtfulness
- Unquestioned honesty, integrity, and transparency
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Power BI or equivalent
