Job Summary

Conduct investigations for attorney discipline matters by locating and interviewing witnesses, reviewing documents, and serving subpoenas across all Central Florida counties. Prepare written memorandums for presentation to counsel and grievance committees, then testify in prosecutions. Manage high-level confidentiality while traveling statewide to cover multiple jurisdictions. Requires prior law enforcement or investigative experience, reliable transportation, and proficiency with Windows, MS Word, and Excel. Hourly rate is $29.00 for part-time work.

  • Knowledge of: Investigative principles and techniques
  • Skilled in: Windows; MS Word; MS Excel; Internet applications & Databases
  • Ability to: Manage and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to: Testify effectively
  • Ability to: Travel statewide
  • Ability to: Interpret policies and procedures
  • Ability to: Prioritize, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
  • Ability to: Operate well under pressure
  • Ability to: Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Familiarize yourself with Rules Regulating The Florida Bar
  • High School Diploma (or its equivalency)
  • Prior law enforcement and/or investigative experience
  • Reliable transportation to travel as this position will be covering all counties in Central Florida

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an expert witness
  • Bilingual-English/Spanish
