Job Summary
Tenure-Track Investigator (High Scarcity) in Vascular Neurosurgery within the NIH/NINDS Surgical Neurology Branch. The incumbent will participate in clinical care at the NIH Clinical Center and lead a cutting-edge research program focused on cerebrovascular disorders, with duties spanning clinical studies, patient care, and the development and direction of a productive research program. Primary appointment will be in the SNB with a secondary appointment in the NINDS Stroke Branch, engaging in clinical and translational efforts across acute and chronic cerebrovascular disease research. Preferred candidates will be practicing neurosurgeons with active research in cerebrovascular biology/pathophysiology and who hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD and have board eligibility or certification. Salary is commensurate with experience; civil service benefits may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold an M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. degree (or equivalent)
- Board eligibility or board certification (required)
- Full-time NIH employee
- Eligible for valid work authorization (US citizen, LPR, or qualifying non-US citizen)
