Job Summary
Tenure-Track Investigator (High Scarcity) in Vascular Neurosurgery within NIH's Surgical Neurology Branch (SNB) of NINDS, located in Bethesda, MD. The investigator-news role supports cerebrovascular research across basic, translational, and clinical domains, with primary appointment in the SNB and a secondary appointment in the NINDS Stroke Branch. Responsibilities include developing and directing an original, productive research program that informs clinical work, conducting clinical care for patients at the NIH Clinical Center, training early career investigators, and collaborating within NIH’s intramural research programs. Candidates should be practicing neurosurgeons with active research efforts in cerebrovascular disorders and hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD, with board eligibility or certification. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; it is offered as a full-time NIH employee position.
