Job Summary
Investigator (High Scarcity) in the NIH/NINDS Surgical Neurology Branch seeks a neurosurgeon-scientist focused on cerebrovascular disorders to lead a cutting-edge research program and contribute to clinical care at the NIH Clinical Center. Primary appointment will be in SNB with a secondary appointment in the NINDS Stroke Branch. The candidate should be an active practicing neurosurgeon, hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD (or equivalent), and have board eligibility or certification. Responsibilities include developing and directing an original, productive research program that informs clinical work, participating in clinical studies, and providing clinical care; opportunities for additional clinical work at outside academic medical centers are available. The position is full-time, based in Bethesda, MD, with competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive civil service benefits package.
