Job Summary
Tenure-Track Investigator (High Scarcity) in Vascular Neurosurgery within NIH/NINDS Surgical Neurology Branch in Bethesda, MD. The incumbent will develop and direct a cutting-edge research program that informs clinical work, participate in clinical care at the NIH Clinical Center, and collaborate across intramural branches. Preferred candidates are active practicing neurosurgeons with an MD, DO, or MD/PhD and board eligibility or certification; the role combines high-level research leadership with translational and clinical activities across cerebrovascular disorders, stroke, and related neurovascular topics.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree (board eligibility or board certification)
- Tenure-Track Investigator position in SNB, NIH/NINDS
- Experience in cerebrovascular disorders and neurosurgery
- Active research program in basic, translational, or clinical neuroscience and ability to direct a research program
- Willingness to participate in clinical care at NIH Clinical Center
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
