Job Summary

Tenure-Track Investigator (High Scarcity) in Vascular Neurosurgery within NIH/NINDS. Primary appointment in the Surgical Neurology Branch with a secondary appointment in the Stroke Branch. Responsibilities include leading a cutting-edge research program focused on cerebrovascular disorders, participating in clinical care at the NIH Clinical Center, and training early career investigators. The candidate should be an active practicing neurosurgeon with an MD, DO, or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and board eligibility or certification. Salary and benefits are competitive with premier academic institutions, with opportunities for additional clinical work through outside academic medical centers. Required Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or MD/PhD (or equivalent)

  • full-time NIH employee status or eligibility for work authorization
  • tenure-track investigator appointment in SNB with secondary appointment in NINDS Stroke Branch
  • clinical neurosurgery practice and active research program development
