Job Summary
Investigator (High Scarcity) – Vascular Neurosurgery at NIH/NINDS SNB. The successful neurosurgeon-scientist will lead and direct a cutting-edge cerebrovascular research program while providing clinical neurosurgical care at the NIH Clinical Center. Primary appointment will be in the Surgical Neurology Branch with a secondary appointment in the Stroke Branch; duties include developing productive research programs, conducting basic/translational/clinical studies, and contributing to patient care. Preferred candidates will demonstrate active research in cerebrovascular biology/pathophysiology, be an active practicing neurosurgeon, and hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD with board eligibility or certification; salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; full civil service benefits; U.S. citizen, LPR, or eligible non-U.S. citizen may apply.
