Job Summary
Investigator (High Scarcity) in Vascular Neurosurgery at NIH/NINDS SNB seeks an outstanding neurosurgeon-scientist focused on cerebrovascular disorders for a Tenure-Track Investigator position. Primary appointment in the Surgical Neurology Branch with a secondary in the Stroke Branch, located in Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities include providing clinical neurosurgical care to NIH Clinical Center patients, participating in clinical studies, and directing a cutting-edge research program that advances basic, translational, and clinical neuroscience. The role requires active practicing neurosurgery, an MD, DO, or MD/PhD (or equivalent), board eligibility or certification, and the ability to collaborate across intramural programs. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; full civil service benefits and potential for additional clinical work at outside academic medical centers.
