Job Summary

Tenure-track Investigator role in the Surgical Neurology Branch (SNB) within NINDS/NIH, located in Bethesda, MD. Lead a cutting-edge research program that informs clinical work in tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system, while providing clinical neurosurgical care at the NIH Clinical Center. Primary focus on tumors; collaboration with neuro-oncology, neuropathology, and radiation oncology researchers; expected to conduct and direct translational and clinical studies, develop an original productive research program, and participate in clinical studies. Eligible candidates will be practicing neurosurgeons with MD, DO, or MD/PhD and board eligibility or certification; salary competitive with premier academic institutions; full-time NIH employee with potential for additional clinical work through outside centers.
