Job Summary
Investigator (High Scarcity) - Tumor Neurosurgery at NIH/NINDS SNB seeking an outstanding neurosurgeon-scientist to lead a translational and clinical research program focused on tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system. The role entails conducting clinical care at the NIH Clinical Center, developing and directing an original research program, participating in basic, translational, and clinical studies, training early career investigators, and collaborating with neuro-oncology, neuropathology, and radiation oncology researchers. Preferred candidates will have active research on central/peripheral nervous system tumor biology, be an active practicing neurosurgeon, and hold MD, DO, or MD/PhD with board eligibility or certification. Appointees may be US citizen, LPR, or eligible non-US citizen; position located in Bethesda, MD with salary commensurate with experience; full civil service benefits; opportunities for additional clinical work through outside academic centers.
