Investigator (High Scarcity) - Tumor Neurosurgery

Investigator (High Scarcity) in Tumor Neurosurgery at NIH/NINDS SNB seeks a neurosurgeon-scientist to lead a translational and clinical research program, participate in patient care at NIH Clinical Center, and contribute to academic collaboration across neuro-oncology, neuropathology, and radiation oncology. The candidate should hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD (or equivalent) with board eligibility/certification, be an active practicing neurosurgeon, and be prepared to establish and direct an original, productive research program focused on CNS tumors; prior emphasis on basic biology/pathophysiology of CNS tumors and a track record in clinical/translational activities is preferred. Position located in Bethesda, MD; salary commensurate with experience; opportunities for additional clinical work through outside academic medical centers; full civil service benefits.
