Job Summary
Conduct complex investigations into discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct reports by creating investigative plans, coordinating interviews, gathering evidence, and drafting detailed reports. Analyze allegations against federal and state laws to ensure compliance and maintain a fair, neutral process for all parties. Provide training on university policies and serve as a liaison to faculty, staff, and administration regarding student-related problems. Work independently to meet established timelines while treating all individuals with dignity and respect. Maintain accurate records, make credibility assessments, and protect investigation privacy throughout the process. Collaborate with the Office of Equal Rights and Title IX team to identify strategic solutions and minimize institutional risk.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Three or more years of investigatory, or relevant professional experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups
- Not in default on any federal student or parent loan
- Not convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds
- Not administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history
- Clean driving record
- Age of 21 years or older
Desired Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate
- Master's degree with a concentration in higher education, criminal justice, student development, counseling, pastoral studies, biblical studies or a related field
- Fluent in Spanish or American Sign Language
