Job Summary
Experienced Field Investigator to conduct surveillance and identify potential fraudulent insurance claims. Perform stationary and mobile surveillance, capture high-quality video and photographic evidence, and prepare comprehensive, court-ready investigative reports for clients. Responsibilities include case preparation, field surveillance from a vehicle, documenting activity, and finalizing case files with reports and video footage. Collaborate closely with the field supervisor and operations teams; must possess or be willing to obtain a Private Investigator license. Work includes independent field duties with long hours in a vehicle, travel within a ~2-hour drive of residence, and possible overnight assignments. Requires reliable equipment (laptop, cell phone, internet) and appropriate surveillance gear.
Required Qualifications
- Private Investigator license (active or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Access to a reliable laptop, cell phone and internet
- Handheld camcorder with zoom and covert camera device (stabilization equipment encouraged)
- Surveillance equipment experience (covert techniques)
- Ability to prepare thorough, well-organized investigative reports
- Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required
- Background check conducted per local/state laws
