Job Summary
Experienced Field Investigator for Ethos Risk Services to conduct both stationary and mobile surveillance, obtain video and photographic evidence, and prepare thorough, court-ready investigative reports. Responsibilities include case preparation, covert surveillance from a vehicle, and finalizing case files with reports and video footage. Requires an active Private Investigator license (or willingness to obtain), valid driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, and essential gear (camcorder, covert camera, stabilization equipment, laptop, cell phone, internet). The role involves early starts (often 6:00 AM), long hours in vehicle, occasional travel and overnight stays, and weekends/holidays as needed; background checks will be conducted and equal opportunity employment maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one (where required by state)
- Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
- Personal vehicle in reliable condition
- Handheld camcorder with high-quality zoom and a covert camera device; stabilization equipment encouraged
- Reliable laptop, cell phone, and internet access for communication and administrative tasks
