Job Summary
Monitor Nordstrom alarm systems and computer terminals for third-party access, intrusion, and building alarms while maintaining a daily log of events. Respond to critical incidents in real-time, including acts of violence and crises, by utilizing established escalation approaches and best practices. Collect documentation for security incidents, review CCTV video, and remotely support access control environments including credential administration and key hardware. Investigate daily issues to identify discrepancies and address opportunities for improving overall safety across assigned properties.
Required Qualifications
- Background in security systems
- 2 years in service-based security operations
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good situational awareness and ability to adapt to changing environments/needs
- Ability to maintain a calm presence in the face of issues, disasters, trauma, etc.
