Job Summary
Investigations Coordinator role in Auckland within the Gambling Group, supporting the Investigations team with filing, triage, tasking, evidence handling, and liaising for prosecutions. Responsibilities include population and triage of complaints, coordinating internal and external correspondence, ensuring secure handling and storage of critical case information, supporting prosecution preparation and exhibits management under supervision, attending search warrants as exhibits officer, handling general team support tasks (including travel logistics), and occasionally taking witness statements. The role involves field work outside regular hours and contributes to compliance activities under the Gambling/PSPPI Act. Requires strong written and spoken communication, relationship management, initiative, resilience, organisation, and a good level of physical fitness. This is an entry-level position offering development in investigations and a pathway to build foundational skills in a supportive environment. Location: Auckland, New Zealand. The appointing range is NZD 71,208 – 88,614.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience or the ability to provide operational support in an investigation and criminal prosecution environment
- Experience or the ability to perform the role of exhibits officer at search warrants and familiarity of associated processes and administrative requirements to ensure lawful seizure of exhibits
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including strong relationship management skills
- Initiative, resilience and excellent organisation skills that enable you to prioritise effectively and remain calm under pressure
- A good level of physical fitness
