Job Summary

Collaborate with providers to individualize drug therapies, perform comprehensive medication therapy reviews, and monitor or modify drug regimens including ordering and interpreting laboratory testing. Provide refill authorizations, act as a drug information resource for providers and nursing staff, and ensure patient access to specialty medications by assisting with insurer information. Optimize drug therapy for under-treated patients, identify adherence barriers, and educate patients on self-management. Precept pharmacy residents, provide education to medical and nursing staff, and present at multidisciplinary conferences. Participate in collaborative research projects, submit publications, and assist in preparing investigational drug study protocols. Implement departmental policies, evaluate service literature, develop drug therapy monitoring systems, and perform drug utilization evaluations. Perform dispensing duties for oral chemo clinics, infusion pharmacy, and/or retail pharmacy as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • State of Washington Pharmacist License
  • Two years of experience in pharmacy practice
  • Pre Employment Drug Screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy
