Job Summary
The Investigation Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s incident management and continuous improvement processes by conducting structured investigations into significant events and ensuring accurate root cause analysis. The role involves collaborating with a global investigation team, leading or assisting investigations, managing communication and data collection, and supporting Compliance and Legal teams with regulatory reporting. Key qualifications include a strong understanding of root cause analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across various organizational levels.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies and system-based investigation principles
- Experience applying root cause analysis investigatory practices while leading incident investigations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain operational readiness under time-sensitive conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification in investigation methodologies or safety disciplines (e.g., TapRooT®, ICAM, Topset, COMET)
- Familiarity with human performance principles and performance influencing factors & systems-based learning techniques
- Experience in regulatory compliance & reporting expectations within areas of operation
