Job Summary
Provide preventative and child protection services to children and families, including completing risk assessments, developing protection plans, and documenting disposition determinations. Interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements while utilizing strong communication and organizational skills. This 12-month full-time contract role in Kirkland Lake requires flexible hours, travel as needed, and a valid G Class driver's license. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset. Required Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as required
- Must be willing to travel as required
- Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver's license at the time of application
- Candidates must be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver's license as a condition of employment
- Candidates must already possess a valid G Class driver's license and have access to their own vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- An MSW or BSW is preferred
- A College Diploma in Social Services may be considered along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director
- Experience working with children, youth and families is considered an asset
- Able to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Bilingualism (English/French) is asset
