Inventory Technician
$31,200,000–$52,000,000 year
On-siteDarlington, Pennsylvania, United States
Job Summary
Conduct full intake on each unit by verifying equipment against purchase documentation, attaching identification tags, and confirming specifications match orders. Take precise measurements of vessels and openings using field tools to document ID, OD, seam-to-seam length, wall thickness, and pressure ratings accurately. Photograph equipment following a standard sequence including exterior angles, opening details, data plates, and internal views, then record 360-degree walkthrough videos and reference videos for remote QC. Build complete draft listings in the internal app, populate equipment-detail fields and cost tabs, and flag unknowns for Manager review rather than guessing. Operate a forklift to move equipment between receiving, cleaning, and final yard placement using rated straps and wheel chocks safely. Power wash exteriors, openings, flange faces, and threads while tracking time and expenses against assigned work orders. This role bridges the yard and digital storefront for a premier oil and gas equipment provider, with travel between Northeast and Southwest operations on a project basis.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn pressure vessel terminology, connection types, and equipment configurations quickly
- Forklift operating experience (certification can be obtained on the job if not already held)
- Comfort with smartphone photography and video, including clear verbal narration on camera, and willingness to learn the Insta360 camera system
- Strong attention to detail and written communication
- Solid systems literacy across Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, OneDrive), web-based tools, and the ability to learn proprietary platforms
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in a yard environment in varied weather
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness to travel between Northeast (Darlington, PA) and Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma) operations on a project basis, typically a few times per quarter
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in oilfield, oil and gas, industrial equipment, or heavy equipment environments
- Familiarity with pressure vessels, separators, heater treaters, or related production equipment
