Job Summary
Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records and support control processes across freezer, cooler, warehouse, and production areas. Responsibilities include daily inventory audits and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, documenting findings and corrective actions, verifying transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments, shipments), identifying obsolete or damaged inventory, and preparing detailed inventory operation reports. Must operate and read scales (lbs/kg), safely use stand-up/sit-down forklifts and scissor lifts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. Requires strong mathematical and analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work in multiple environments, and effective communication. Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; location-based in Bolingbrook and Downers Grove, IL, with adherence to food safety and workplace safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist, Inventory Control Associate, Warehouse Inventory Coordinator, or similar role
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); Plex experience highly preferred
- Ability to operate and read scales in pounds and kilograms
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
