Job Summary
Monitor, audit, and maintain inventory records by counting materials, equipment, and supplies, then reconciling transactions against office data to ensure accuracy. Investigate discrepancies in reporting, prepare work papers for audits, and enter validated transactions into software systems while correcting clerical errors. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve inventory issues and prepare reports for government and regulatory agencies. Assist with year-end physical counts and implement operational adjustments for tax code revisions. Travel independently 8+ days monthly for local site visits and occasionally overnight, adhering to all safety, OSHA, and DOT policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to obtain and maintain professional accounting or business designations as required by the Company
- Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands
- The role requires local travel to other company locations or industry events, with the ability to travel independently 8+ days a month and return home the same day
- Must be willing to travel independently and overnight occasionally
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training related to the position's requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain professional accounting or business designations as required by the Company
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred but not required
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Ability to use the computer and attention to detail skills and use the computer to enhance business processes
