Job Summary
Inventory Specialist responsible for material handling and inventory control in a fast-paced environment, including receiving, staging, issuing, and reconciling materials to support laboratory and production operations. Maintains accurate inventory records and ensures compliance with cGMP, FDA, and OSHA. Performs cycle counts, analyzes shortages/overages, manages min/max stock levels, coordinates with suppliers for inbound freight, and supports procurement and production teams to align material availability with demand. Requires standing and moving throughout warehouse, laboratories, and production areas, with potential operation of pallet jacks and lifting up to 50 lbs. Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office; attention to documentation, quality management systems, and training requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of inventory control or warehouse operations experience
- Experience handling hazardous materials preferred; relevant certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain certification through training
- Knowledge of cGMP, USP, ISO 17025, and FDA regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite; experience with cycle counting and root cause analysis required
- Physical ability: lift up to 50 lbs
