Inventory Specialist II, Weekend Shift

Job Summary

Execute all inventory transactions including receiving, putaway, picking, issuance, and returns in real time through ERP/MES systems while maintaining 99.9% record accuracy with full lot and serial traceability. Own the daily cycle count program by scheduling counts, investigating discrepancies, documenting root causes, and escalating variances. Verify incoming materials as the final quality gate before production entry, confirming part numbers, revisions, and shelf life while quarantining discrepant items. Pick and kit parts to support on-time delivery to production, applying FIFO discipline and verifying serialized flight hardware against build records. Handle all parts to aerospace FOD, ESD, and contamination-control standards, maintain 5S organization, and store ITAR-controlled material in secured areas. Communicate proactively with cross-functional stakeholders to confirm ETAs, flag supply issues, and propose process improvements. This weekend-shift position runs Friday through Monday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT, including 8 guaranteed overtime hours and a 10% shift differential.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in an inventory, logistics, receiving, or material handling role
  • 1+ years of forklift experience, with the ability to obtain and maintain certification per OSHA standards
  • Experience executing transactions in ERP and warehouse management software with a complete, accurate audit trail
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as production demands
  • Experience in the aerospace, launch services, or another highly regulated manufacturing industry
  • Experience building or improving inventory control procedures, such as cycle count programs
  • Familiarity with flight hardware, lot/serial traceability, or ESD and FOD prevention standards, 5S
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
