Job Summary
Inventory Specialist at Ashley Furniture is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory across warehouse locations, performing cycle counts, reconciling variances, updating the WMS, and generating reports on stock levels and accuracy. The role collaborates with receiving and shipping, analyzes inventory trends to support optimization, and leads data-driven improvements to inventory processes. Requires hands-on experience with WMS/ERP, strong Excel and data-analytic skills, attention to detail, ability to work a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shift, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred qualifications include degrees in supply chain or related fields, experience with SAP or comparable systems, forklift certification, Lean/Six Sigma background, and data visualization proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and WMS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas
- Familiarity with barcode scanning and RF devices
- Basic understanding of ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Effective communication skills across departments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
