Job Summary
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels within the Inventory Management System by performing daily stock counts to ensure product balance accuracy. Maintain accurate inventory through proper ordering and receiving, while reviewing and completing all pending inventory transactions daily. Communicate with the store director regarding inventory levels, research shortages, and correct unacceptable shelf conditions. Ensure product levels are maintained and replenished on shelves while keeping the working and shopping environment clean, safe, and sanitary. Greet customers, answer questions, and respond to complaints consistent with the "Jump Over the Counter Service Excellence" core value. Assist with period and bi-annual inventory service counts and use equipment like pallet jacks and box cutters safely. Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to use knives/box cutters
- Ability to operate a pallet jack/bailer
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes
- Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus
- Ability to use hands for reaching, touching or handling
- Ability to bend, kneel or squat
- Continuously required to stand or walk
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Ability to talk and hear
- Attendance at work is required
Desired Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience
