Inventory Planner

Job Summary
Perform kitting for all jobs, parts orders, and sales orders. Provide assistance with material handling and physical counts of incoming materials. Perform cycle counts of inventoried items and work in process. Contribute to material handling improvement efforts and support operations through cross-departmental collaboration. This role requires 1 to 2 years of stockroom experience in a manufacturing environment, proficiency with MRP systems, and the ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and fork trucks. Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and reliable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of related stockroom experience in a manufacturing company
- Ability to work independently and as a team to prioritize work assignments
- Ability to make sound judgments with stockroom related issues
- Basic computer skills, some experience with using computer inventory features of an MRP system
- Knowledge and experience with material handling in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience with use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and fork trucks
- Some experience with cycle counting of physical inventory
- Possess excellent attention and respect for detail
- Possess good oral communication skills
- Predictable and reliable attendance is required
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required
- Standing and walking for a majority of the workday
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on occasion
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
