Job Summary
Inventory Planner / Buyer responsible for monitoring purchasing requirements, inventory levels, and replenishment parameters; creates advance buys and scheduled deliveries based on demand history, communicates with vendors and leadership, resolves shipping/pricing/quantity issues, and compiles reports (POS/consignment). Requires ERP/demand forecasting experience, strong Excel/Office skills, and excellent communication/problem-solving abilities. Based in Houston, TX, onsite. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- 3 years of work experience in a Buyer or Planning role (or in a similar capacity)
- Experience using ERP systems with forecasting/demand planning capabilities
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to drive improvement with an assigned set of suppliers
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
